National JA Stock Market Challenge

This event brings together students, educators, and industry leaders to explore hands-on learning experiences, unlock new career pathways, and gain the skills needed to thrive in the evolving world of work. Prepare to be inspired, empowered, and Future Bound!

At the National JA Stock Market Challenge, top teams from JA Areas around the country will come together to see who can earn the most through smart and responsive investing strategies. This fast-paced competition simulates 90 days of trading in 90 minutes, where students must make decisions based on current events and market trends to demonstrate their mastery of stocks, the market, and economic decision making.

Awards and Prizes

In addition to the JA Stock Market Challenge, participants will also have the opportunity to compete for other prestigious awards at Future Bound. Winners of the JA Stock Market Challenge will be determined by highest net worth at the end of competition play. Additional information on these awards will be provided on May 9, 2025.

How It Works

Future Bound is Junior Achievement’s pinnacle event that celebrates all four of JA's national competitions. JA student leaders from across the United States will gather in Atlanta, GA for three days of high impact JA experiences.

For JA Stock Market Challenge: Student teams from around the country will showcase their ultimate knowledge of stock trading and portfolio management under simulated market conditions. Participants must demonstrate critical thinking, financial literacy, and strategic decision-making to maximize their portfolio's value within the competition. In this brand new market scenario, 90 minutes is equal to 90 days and winners will be determined by the highest net worth at the end of competition play. In addition to the competition, students will have the opportunity to participate in workshops led by national experts in innovation, entrepreneurship, and business.

Eligibility

JA Areas throughout the United States may register up to three teams to participate. The deadline to submit to JA USA is Friday, May 2, 2025 at 4:00 pm ET
JA Teams must have participated in JA Take Stock in Your Future or a JA Stock Market Challenge during the current school year.
Only JA Area staff may register student teams for consideration (via the button below)
JA Teams may consist of 2 to 4 high school student members per team.
JA USA recommends that students have familiarity with the JA Stock Market Challenge platform (https://smc.ja.org).
