About
Junior Achievement

Accelerating Economic Mobility Through Career-Connected Learning.

Junior Achievement is the nation's leading educational solutions provider that collaborates with our partners to implement strategic, scalable solutions that address root challenges in education and workforce development that inhibit economic mobility. We reimagine education by making learning relevant, hands-on, and future-focused— empowering students to view education as a launchpad to a fulfilling life and a thriving career.

Working in strategic collaboration with educators, employers, and community leaders, JA is committed to pursuing a systems approach, addressing underlying conditions that are adversely impacting educational attainment and workforce access for students.

We are focused on developing and scaling strategic solutions with the highest level of efficacy towards the factors that drive economic mobility, creating differentiated value for students and our communities.
Impacting Individuals
Through our experiences, students gain the tools and direction needed to move forward with purpose.
Impacting Communities
As students are prepared for post-secondary pathways, communities benefit from higher rates of employment and accelerated economic mobility.

Our Impact

Junior Achievement designs learning experiences with the end in mind: real outcomes for students. Our experiences don't just expose students to ideas about the future — they help students clearly connect what they are learning today to where they want to go tomorrow in a measurable way.

Junior Achievement uses independent, third-party evaluators to gauge the impact of its programs. Since 1993, independent evaluators have conducted studies on Junior Achievement's effectiveness. Findings prove that Junior Achievement has a positive impact in a number of critical areas.

Over 100 Years of
Experience and Impact

For more than a century, we have empowered millions of students worldwide with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to build opportunity-filled futures. Our forward-thinking approach connects classroom learning with real-world experiences, equipping the next generation to thrive in a rapidly evolving economy.

What began in 1919 as an after-school entrepreneurship program has grown into a comprehensive portfolio of learning experiences that reaches students from elementary school through high school. Building on more than a century of impact— and the launch of the first JA Finance Park in Pinellas County in 1988— Junior Achievement expanded its portfolio with Experiential Learning Centers (ELCs), immersive environments that introduce students to financial literacy, career exploration, and real-world problem-solving. Through JA Biztown, JA Finance Park, and JA Dream Accelerator, JA deepens strategic, long-term partnerships with school districts, drives measurable student outcomes, and transforms how young people view education, careers, and their future potential— at scale.

3DE by Junior Achievement was developed through a shared vision among leaders in education, business, and Junior Achievement who believed that equitable access to high-quality education is a powerful driver of economic mobility. A joint venture between Fulton County Schools, JA of Georgia, and the broader Atlanta community led to the pilot of a new school model. Launched in 2015 at Banneker High School, the model quickly demonstrated the ability to drive student engagement and academic performance.

Together, these innovative learning models build on JA's legacy by equipping students with the skills, confidence, and connection needed to thrive in school, work, and life. Through innovative learning experiences and strategic partnerships, Junior Achievement continues to transform education into opportunity and is creating lasting value for schools, employers, and communities.
